What is Document Blueprint?

Document Blueprint automates paperwork with the help of AI. A template lets AI know where to find key information in a document and what to do with it. Every run saves its data to a case, and the dashboard aggregates those cases into search, map, calendar, and analytics views.

Your paperwork is about to get automated. You process the same documents over and over: invoices, permits, forms, contracts. You build a template once for each one. It tells the app where each value goes, what gets generated, and who reviews it. Every new document then runs the same way, and the values it captures stay on record for the next document and for the views that summarize your work.

The workspace

Every account always has a workspace. It is the top-level container for one document process, and teams run one workspace per process. It holds templates, cases, mailboxes, automations, file categories, and your team. The dashboard is the view onto the active workspace. Switching workspaces changes everything you see.

Templates

You build templates for the documents you process repeatedly. A template lets AI know where to find key information and what to do with it. It also sets the Output file name. Values stamp at exact coordinates every run, so generation is identical every time. Only the template configuration changes between workspaces. One engine runs every workspace. Templates covers what a template is made of.

Cases

Every template run saves its values to a case. A case is the durable record for one unit of work. It holds files, extracted data, notes, generated outputs, and an activity history. Every run saves values under a stable key. A later document reads a value another document already saved to the case. The case identifier routes incoming files to the right record. You add people to a case as collaborators. There is no separate assignee field.

The dashboard

The dashboard organizes your cases. It offers Details, Map, Calendar, Analytics, and Team views, plus Search..., Filter, and a sort control. On a phone, a List view stands in for Details. Address fields feed Map, date fields feed Calendar, and numbers feed Analytics. Dashboard columns derive from template fields. Every workspace gets an Inbox, an Archive, and a Trash mailbox. Cases in Trash are permanently deleted after 30 days. The Trash mailbox cannot be renamed. You can also add a custom mailbox. Filter presets are saved clauses that apply over any mailbox view. You build them by choosing Select column... and a condition, or by clicking Build with AI in the filter drawer. The columns come from your template outputs and case data. You manage seats, click Add teammate, and grant the Workspace admin privilege from the Team view.

Automations, the AI Assistant, and the portal

Files arrive through Gmail, Google Drive, or manual upload. Automations route an incoming file to a document. They read the case identifier off the email, folder, or document, then attach the file to the case with that identifier or start a new one. File categories tag your documents automatically when an automation ingests a file or a template generates one.

You click Open AI Assistant to build automations, import folders, or answer questions. You share specific cases with outside clients using the portal. Clients get a scoped view based on the Edit visibility settings you choose. They can upload files and complete any Forms to fill (optional) you assign them. Core concepts has the full definitions.
