Integrations, AI model & billing
The settings sections hold your Google integrations, AI model choices, and subscription plans. You connect your own Gmail and Google Drive accounts to power automations, pick a model for autofill runs, and manage your billing tier.
You visit the settings pages to configure how the app interacts with your external accounts and tools. The sidebar groups controls into Preferences, Notifications, and Account. Workspace owners also see Company and Enterprise sections.
Connecting Gmail and Google Drive
Integrations are personal, and Gmail and Drive are separate connections: disconnecting one leaves the other in place. You connect your own Google account. Each teammate who needs it connects their own Gmail. Automations and Gmail drafts run under the connected teammate's credentials. Tokens are never shared. An automation runs under the account of its creator. A Compose draft automation step uses the same connection to create drafts on your behalf; it never sends them.
Gmail requires a Pro workspace; on a Free or Lite workspace its control is disabled with a tooltip saying so. Google Drive connects on every plan, because the account export under Settings, Account copies your files there. Drive-powered automations still need a Pro workspace.
To connect an account, open Settings then Account. Find the two toggle rows below the Plan row. They show Not connected or the connected email address.
The app returns you to Settings, Account after Google's consent screen.
Gmail requests read access to your mailbox, permission to create drafts, and calendar access. Connecting only to compose drafts (the button inside the send composer) asks for the draft permission alone. This powers filtered inbox automations, case reminder automations that create calendar events, and chat calendar tools. A chat calendar result shows Connect Google. Gmail also powers the Open Gmail Draft action. Case sharing composes a draft in your mailbox. You send it from Gmail. The case date detail does not push to your calendar. However, a case data reminder automation creates a Google Calendar event. A case date offers View in calendar and Download .ics without a Google connection.
Google Drive requests read and file access. This powers import automations that watch a folder for new files. Gmail intake automations can also mirror attachments to a connected Google Drive folder. The primary storage for all files remains Firebase Storage, so a Drive connection that ends never breaks a file already on a case. When the app cannot save a Drive copy of a new file because Drive is disconnected, the case shows a Reconnect Google Drive notification; when the recorded destination folder is gone, the app creates it again and tells you on the case. The case review panel's Import from Drive also uses this connection, so a pasted Drive link imports without a second Google sign-in. Folder listings show up to 1,000 items per folder; open a sub-folder to see more.
When Google stops honouring the connected account's access, every automation that depends on that account pauses automatically (Gmail intake, calendar reminders, and Drive intake; Drive folder copies are best-effort and never pause an intake). The app first asks Google about the connection you have now, so a job that was still using access from before you reconnected never pauses your automations or disconnects the new connection. If Google cannot be reached, nothing pauses: background work retries on its own, and Run on past emails or Run on past files reads Google did not confirm Gmail access for this account. Try again. (or the Drive equivalent) so you can run it again. The automation card shows a banner reading Gmail is not connected or Google Drive is not connected. An automation saved before its account is connected shows the same banner and turns on when you connect. It might also say Connected user removed from workspace. Click Connect on the card to authorize the account again. Connecting turns those automations on in the organization you work in now; an automation in an organization you have left stays paused. Only the teammate whose account powers an automation sees its Connect button. Automations you paused yourself stay off until you use the switch on the card.
To remove an integration, toggle the connected row off. The app shows a Disconnect Gmail or Disconnect Drive dialog. Click Disconnect to confirm. The app stops the Google push watch, revokes the grant with Google, removes the stored credentials, and pauses every automation that ran under that account with a Reconnect banner. Your cases, files, and data stay untouched. If you connect a different Google account later, the previous account's notifications stop and its automations restart under the new account.
Choosing AI models
The app separates the AI model for autofill from the model for chat. This ensures expensive document extraction runs do not increase the cost of everyday chat messages.
Open Settings then Preferences to find the AI model row. This selection handles autofill extraction, field placement, and derived outputs. It defaults to Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite. A workspace admin can restrict the visible AI models. A hidden choice resets to the first visible model.
The Chat model selector lives in the chat drawer. Chat defaults to Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite. It never inherits the global autofill choice. Many internal operations use a pinned default model.
The catalog includes Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite at a 0.3x multiplier. It also offers Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite at a 0.5x multiplier. Those two are the only models a run can name on any plan.
Each call debits your monthly token allowance. The app multiplies actual tokens by the model multiplier and rounds up. Autofill runs add a flat 1,000 token overhead per run. The app meters chat, autofill, and ingestion usage. When your monthly allowance and any pack balance are used up, the next AI action is refused until you buy a pack or the month resets. A run that is already in progress finishes.
Emails the app sends
The app sends welcome and receipt emails for Lite and Pro upgrades. It sends emails for team invites, client invites, and immediate notifications. Your Settings then Notifications preferences control these alerts. Case sharing composes a Gmail draft. You send it yourself.
